Share The Warmth

Our Share The Warmth program helps Texans who need assistance with winter heating bills. The generous contributions of Texas Gas Service customers help fund the program.

How You Can Contribute

  • If you pay your bill electronically, log in to your account and select the “Share The Warmth” toggle button. You can choose between donating a fixed monthly amount or rounding up to the next dollar.
  • If you pay by check, mark the “Share The Warmth” box on your bill to designate your overpayment to the program. This is a one-time donation.

How to Seek Aid

To receive help in paying your heating bills through the Share The Warmth program, you will need to apply at Travis County Health & Human Services (Austin), 211 (Austin), Project Bravo (El Paso), Hidalgo County Community Services (RGV), Cameron-Willacy Counties Community Projects (RGV) or Catholic Charities of Central Texas (all other customers). You'll be asked to meet the following requirements:

  • You must be the person responsible for paying your home heating expenses.
  • You must live in a county served by Texas Gas Service.
  • You must be facing an immediate financial emergency that prevents you from paying your home heating costs.
