We believe liquids have been removed from certain sections of our natural gas distribution system in Jacksboro. We have begun to reintroduce natural gas into some parts of town and are restoring natural gas service to those customers.
We ask that you if you have pets to please secure them for the safety of our technicians. Also, if you do not want our technicians to knock on your door late this evening, please turn your porch light off or leave a note on your door. Technicians will need to enter homes to complete the relight process and, in some cases, will be changing meters. Our employees wear a yellow safety vest and clothing clearly marked with a Texas Gas Service (or Oklahoma Natural Gas) logo.
We are going door-to-door to restore service. It is not necessary to call our customer service department tonight to request service. Our crews will work late into the night to restore service to as many customers as we safely can. First thing tomorrow morning, our crews will resume restoring service with the goal to have natural gas service restored to all customers as quickly as possible. Additional workers from across Texas and our Oklahoma division are working to help get Jacksboro back in service as safely and as quickly as possible.
As always, if you smell natural gas, leave the area immediately and call us at (800) 959-LEAK (5325).
