Austin, Texas -- Feb. 6, 2014 -- This morning we started receiving calls from Jacksboro customers. An issue with the quality of gas that was delivered to us has caused an unexpected interruption of service. The natural gas system will be temporarily shut down so that the situation can be corrected.
We are working to restore natural gas. We are mobilizing extra crews from around the state of Texas as well as our Oklahoma division, Oklahoma Natural Gas, in an effort to restore natural gas service.
CNG (compressed natural gas) trailers from around the state are enroute to help provide natural gas service to the hospital and assisted living facilities.
With colder conditions, we are working as quickly and as safely as possible to restore our distribution system in Jacksboro. We apologize for this inconvenience.
The City of Jacksboro is setting up relief centers throughout the town.
